This morning in the Galleria Dorata at Palazzo Carrega-Cataldi, Genoa’s Palazzo Rolli on Via Garibaldi headquarters of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce, we have participated at the official press conference for the kickoff of Genoa BeDesign Week 2023 in the presence of DIDE President Elisabetta Rossetti, Councillor Paola Bordilli, Genoa Confcommercio President Alessandro Cavo, its Secretary General Maurizio Caviglia and Niccolò Cassiddu, Director of the Department of Architecture and Design (dAD) at the University of Genoa.
After the resounding success of the past editions, with an increasingly rich program of events, meetings and initiatives, Genova BeDesign Week 2023 starts again on Wednesday, May 24 until Sunday, May 28. An increasingly eagerly awaited and well-established event of the Genoa art scene capable of combining beauty, art and creativity.
The fourth edition has energy as central theme, understood as a point of contact between design and innovation and source of emotional inspiration to encourage the exploration of historic places and give new impetus to transformations and research in synergy with universities.
This year there will be more than 100 exhibitors and more than 130 events hosted inside numerous historic buildings; exhibitors from the nautical world are also on the rise. The Genova Design Award dedicated to Polo Odone (to be held in the next edition 2024) will be presented, and the big news of this 2023 edition was the call for emerging designers under 35 years of age.
